(Anachronistic) Dispatches from the Kingdom of Makuria.

Men apparently describe God in their image, even though they should describe themselves in His image. Nevertheless, I am a human, and therefore perhaps I fall into the same trap inevitably.
Hence this:

Being a software programmer shows you why it makes perfect sense that by a word everything was created. For we spend our time not just defeating entropy as others do, or just remodelling matter into certain shapes; no, we express words—what you call “code”—and out of those, something entirely new happens. Yes, yes, painters and musicians, too; but we have creations that move, and even think. Quantum physics has taught us that mind is prior, logic is basic, information is king.

Yet if we are programmers, then what of God? As far as the heavens are from the earth, so is His code from ours. DNA, the code we have located in our genes, works in several dimensions, while ours works in precisely one dimension. So we have the “AND” operator; and God would have the “AND**AND” operator. When we use the “AND” operator, we know what is to its right and to its left, while in God’s case, “All things work together …”

If you already admit that God is far above us, and you understand the power we express in the code, you are a few steps from a Calvinist conclusion.
