One such example of the scholars' opinions is of the famous Muslim scholar, Abu Hanifa, according to whose madhab, the Hanafi madhab, if a person is known to listen to such forbidden musical instruments, their testimony is not to be accepted. Another Islamic scholar, Ibn Taymiyyah, once said that music is like alcohol to the soul. A majority of Muslim scholars traditionally have held that music with all its instruments are Haraam: sinful by the hadith, as well as by tradition.
You must be joking. No, I am not. Really? Really.

Can that religion get worse, really? You don’t allow alcohol, you don’t allow pork, you don’t allow cannabis. You don’t even allow fucking music? You know that the modern meaning of the word “philistine” is “hater of culture”, right? These are the guys (“Our project is Islam” —Hamas Charter) who want to destroy Israel and replace it with a literally philistine state, perhaps called the State of Falastin.

By comparison, the Psalms that come to us from the Jews are evidently full of light and truth:
Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous; praise is fitting for the upright. Praise the Lord on the harp; make melody to Him on a psaltery of ten strings. Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully with a loud noise. For the word of the Lord is right; and all His works are faithful. He loves mercy and judgment; the earth is full of the mercy of the Lord.
Pick your poison. As Micah once said, “All other nations will walk each in their own way; but we will walk in the name of the Lord.”
