The Due Penalty

I remember seeing a video where a man noted how he had realised that Romans 1:18-32 wasn’t about homosexuality, but about epicureanism and the idolatry that follows. The normalised homosexuality is merely a social symptom of different-from-normal thinking. The different-from-normal thinking is itself a symptom of having failed to acknowledge the Creator.

So you hear that—yay!—the gang rapists of India were finally given a “due penalty.” But the justice systems of India, being the result of man’s feeble and limp moralisms, cannot give the due penalty. Let’s not focus on that. Let’s focus on what God is doing here.

Vast numbers of young men have grown up in India in the knowledge that their sisters were killed by their parents—the boys’ parents—for the simple fact that they were girls. Make no mistake: we all know that abortion is murder. (This is not so I can condemn those who murder, but so I can vindicate the justice of God. I’m not scared to do this, of course, because the Grace of Jesus Christ provides the shade from which I can safely do this. “Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock. So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by.”)

Now, the first foolishness is to think that a society can live with the wanton murder of girls in its midst and yet pretend to care more when they are raped. Either you care, or you don’t. (Since all of us are actually sinners, all of us don’t actually care. I mean, apart from appearances and so on.)
There are desperately few women in India, as a result of the selective abortion against girls. The nightmare of crazed rapists is only beginning.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil- mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

Here, you would understand that they became crazed rapists because they did not like to retain a knowledge of God. If they had liked to retain a knowledge of God, they would have better ratios of male and female.
Most times, a person writes this kind of thing and follows it up with recommendations. I don’t.
